COLOR PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES

Think about how color plays a role in your everyday life. How does it influence you? With this assignment, you need to manipulate your audience’s feelings through the use of your color choices with a photographic story.

Your restrictions are the following:

• By taking a series of 30-35 high-quality photographs, tell a story with a visual arc.o This story can follow your Screen Story outline or a new story of your choosing.
• Feel free to further manipulate the colors through phone or computer editing.o Use films/tv shows as inspiration – think Wizard of Oz, The Florida Project, Moonlight, Edward Scissorhands, Gone with the Wind, Crazy Rich Asians, American Beauty, etc.o How do the above films use color to their advantage?
• Write a short paper – describe your story, your interpretations, the color symbolism,and why you made the choices you did.
• Color meaning can be subjective – what blue means to me could mean somethingdifferent to you. So, let your mind run free and have fun!
