Liberty University Week 5 Probability Age Frequency Distribution Worksheet

Question Description

I’m working on a statistics exercise and need support to help me study.

Hello

Please see the below notes received from my professor for Part 2 that need updating. Will you be able to assist with Project Part 3 Confidence Intervals and update the below Part 2 correct per the below notes provided?

Several items: Part 2 Notes

The mean needs to be calculated on the raw data since we have it (31.8)?, not approximated by the data table (-1)

The median is the value in the middle of the arranged data (29)??????????????????????????????????? (-1)

The SD should also be calculated on the raw data because we have it (-1)??????

Q1 and Q3 and 25th percentile and 75th percentile respectively. This can be calculates as the median of the top half (23.5) and themedian of the bottom half (39.5) or as the 7th item and the 19th item(24,38) (-2)

The mean and SD need to be corrected on your spreadsheet so you can do the next part of the project.

The charts need titles and labels that relate to the data–the ages of online students

* Below Project Part 3 Confidence Intervals (I have attached the Spreadsheet) WK5

* Based on the class sample, you will create a 95% confidence intervalfor the mean age and the proportion of males in the population of allonline college students. Using the same sheet as part 2, answer thefollowing in the “week 5” tab:

  • For the average age, form a 95% confidence interval:
    • What distribution should be used?
    • What is the critical value?
    • What is the error bound?
    • What is the lower bound?
    • What is the upper bound?
  • For the proportion of males, form a 95% confidence interval:
    • What distribution should be used?
    • What is the critical value?
    • What is the error bound?
    • What is the lower bound?
    • What is the upper bound?
