- Choose one documentary and, like Coates, argue for the ways that the film is working What rhetorical categories are being used effectively?
- Or choose one academic article that is exploring a current social issue. Choose at least three quotes and for each quote, 1. Identify what it is doing rhetorically, 2. Make an argument about how this is done effectively/not effectively, and 3. Rewrite each quote in an improved way that corrects or adds on two 1 and 2.

The main idea of the essay that the instructor wants is to connect the whole article with the rhetoric and mention the 3 categories, which are Pathos, Ethos, and Logos. Find when he relies on pathos and ethos and logos by saying an explanation from the chapter and put quotation for each one. This is the explanation of the 3 elements
