This assignment is designed for students to explore the world of projects. Below are just some ideas, and these as prompts to general your own interest. Thus, you DO NOT do not have to choose any of these. And if you do, you can only address one or a few of these questions.

   Focus on the top x factors leading to project success or failures a particular industry (e.g. financial services, healthcare, etc.) or function (e.g. information technology, marketing, finance, etc.)

You are also encouraged to develop additional topics related to project management. As students have a range of options, it’s important to keep in mind that this is a project management course. Thus, you must adopt a project management perspective as you analyze and write about your topic. For example, there are many ways to write about the Super Bowl event. It can be written from the perspective of sport and event management, historical development, marketing, etc. But for this course, the perspective must be focused on one or more aspects of project management such as schedule, scope, stakeholder, risk, etc.

1- This assignment is just a short description of 200-250 words with a working title and an initial list of resources. The purpose is mainly for approval, before you proceed with the full paper. The full paper is due in the next assignment, found in Module

2- For the approved topic, students are required to write a 1,000 to no more than 2,000-word report in professional business writing style and use APA format on the agreed topic.

Remember the following:Make sure you use quality references from professional or research publications. For example, New York Times is a respected journal, but blogs from NY Times should be used sparingly.
