Project 2:

I want you to conduct research on a topic that you are interested in or concerned about in Environmental Science and get a class discussion going on how we can combat these environmental issues we are facing.

I think it is a good way to get to know your peers a bit and learn from each other on how do we fix all these environmental issues. The entire Project 2 will be conducted over the next two weeks (Module 10 and 11), which will be worth 25 points. This weeks assignment of conducting your research on your topic will be worth 5 points and the next Module (writing and discussion) will be be the remaining 20 points of the Project 2.

Assignment for this Module (Part 1 of Project 2):

1) Do online research on an environmental issue that you are concerned about the most. Pick something that peaked your interest this quarter that you would like to learn more about fixing it.

2) Once you pick your topic find 5 DIFFERENT resources, BUT at least 2 of them HAVE TO BE PEER-REVIEWED journal articles. Recall what that is from past lectures. Make sure it truly is a peer-review. You will get marked off points if it is not. Make a reference of these in MLA or similar format.

3) In a paragraph explain what your topic is and why YOU care about it.

Turn in your topic, your 5 resources and the paragraph.

Next Module you will submit this to the class, review and discuss your topics.
