CCJ 4700 FIU Survey Questions Coded in SPSS and T Test and ANOVA Paper

Question Description

Number each step in your word document.

  1. In a Word document, list the research question you used in Assignment 3. You may alter it if you were told there were errors or if it needed to be more specific (5 points).
  2. Take your survey questions and the answers from Assignment 2 and paste here. Modify based on your feedback from assignment 2. Many of these will be MC, but add a minimum of 3 that are continuous numeric variables (age, etc) (5 points). You should have a minimum of 10 (5 points).
  3. Open SPSS and a blank sheet. Add your survey questions as variables. Make sure you fill out all of the cells in the variable view page- label, values, etc. Everyone in class will have different variables here because you all have different survey questions. The values that you list are the MC answers (20 points for this total step).
  4. Now switch to Data view and enter 20 fake survey answers. Don’t keep using the same ones, there should be variability. If your MC answers consist of 4 answers, make sure all are added. Make sure you added the continuous variables as well (20 points for this step).
  5. Take a screenshot of both the data view and variable view of cases you have entered (show all) into SPSS and the variables that you have coded (show all). This should only be two screen shots. Now paste the screen shots under Number 1 above (10 points for this step).
  6. Run one t-test on the appropriate variables. Cut and paste that t-test table under the above screen shots. Interpret the results – the relationship between the variables you chose in a minimum of 2 sentences. Tell me what this means about your variables you analyzed in this step (15 points for this step).
  7. Run an ANOVA on the appropriate variables. Cut and paste the ANOVA table under the above. Interpret the results – the relationship between the variables in a minimum of 2 sentences. Tell me what this means about your variables you analyzed in this step (15 points for this step).
  8. Explain the p value and what it means about the relationship for both tests above. Use a minimum of 1 sentence per p value (5 points).
  9. Save the Word document by your last name and Assignment 4. Submit word document to the assignment dropbox by the due date.
