The organizational structure of a healthcare organization defines the mission, philosophy, and vision. For Holy Cross Hospital, a faith-based organization, it is very important to deliver quality of care to every person, through the core values of the catholic religion. In their website, they describe their core values as vitally Important and they include reverence, Justice, commitment to the those who are poor, safety, stewardship, and integrity (Holy Cross Health, 2020). It is for that reason, that Holy Cross Hospital mission statement, as set out on the organizations website, is to serve communities in collaboration with stakeholders and rely on the gospels teachings of transformational and compassionate healing (Holy Cross Health, 2020). Their vision on the other hand, is to be a mission-driven innovative health organization, and become the national leader in improving the health of communities and each person they serve (Holy Cross Health, 2020).
The institution has laid out its mission, values, objectives, and philosophy available via its website (Holy Cross Health, 2020). This ensures the staff members, associates, and the public, to have access to this information and ensure that everyone working in the organization is aligned with their goals. At the same time, they also conducts annual surveys to make sure that administrators and head of departments understand their employees and the clients needs. This complies with the best-practice requirement for institutions to track progress (Panayotou et. al., 2019).
