Inthis unit, you will design a syllabus, lecture notes, and handouts for a3-week class on Complementary and Alternative medicine. Review theinstructions below.

Beingknown in your community as an expert in the field of Health andWellness, your local community college has asked you to teach a 3-weekclass on Complementary and Alternative medicine. This will be free andopen to the public, and each of the 3 sessions will be 1 ½ hours long.

Pleasedesign a syllabus, lecture notes, and handouts for this class. In yourpreparations please keep in mind the following questions:

• What do you think your audience will be interested in? What do they want to know?
• After you present an overview of the field, which areas will you focus on? Why?
• What is the professional standard for the field you are focusing on? Are there any safety or ethical considerations?
• What local resources are available in your community? What “further readings” will you include in your handout?

After publishing your class syllabus, lecture notes and handouts onto your website, write a 3–5-sentence introduction, describing the project. Include why ethical practices and legal standards in this alternative healthcare field is important.
