In this and other forums on Schäfer’s book, you may also address any of these questions, here in relation to the treatment of Jesus’ family and childhood: How do the accounts by the Rabbis relate to and offer a “counter-narrative” to the Gospels? How do they address key aspects of Christian teaching and practice? Can you compare and contrast the Rabbis’ criticism of Christian teaching with Christian Anti-Judaism?
