West Coast University Jaw Reconstruction Surgery Care Discussion

For my teaching plan, I will need to have a knowledge deficit which will be related to risk for infection.

I must educate my patient who is a 22 yo male with a jaw reconstruction (surgery). I must educate him on oral care, and risks for infection, how to care for it, what I can do to teach him, I need to provide a teach back to make sure he understood as well.

write a small paper to describe what had happened to the jaw reconstruction surgery (what it is, why it is given)and how he is at risk for infection and how to keep it clean. I must follow the rubric below.
