Start with the events that occur in the mouth and work your way through the gastrointestinal (GI) tract by explaining what happens to fats in the stomach and small intestine. Include the contributions of the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas to digestion, and be specific about which molecules are absorbed. For example, triglycerides must be broken down into monoacyglycerols, glycerol, or free fatty acids in order to be absorbed.
