Assignment 2 is EASY but it’s oh, so important. The purpose of Assignment 2 is to get you started on thinking about a subject of your review paper. Remember what we said in class – if you can, choose a subject that you find interesting, something that excites you – because you will be spending the semester diving into this subject in great depth.

Identify an area of personal interest to you that will be the subject of your review article. Do a Google Scholar search on the subject of your paper to ensure that you haven’t chosen a subject that is so narrow that you won’t be able to find adequate references, but also be certain that the subject is narrow enough to cover adequately in 8-10 double-spaced pages. Submit: (i) a two- or three-sentence paragraph about the subject of your review article, and why you have chosen this area as a focus; (ii) a listing of the title, journal, and complete author list of three potential references unearthed by your Google search (note: you do NOT have to use these references in your final paper; this part of Assignment 2 is just to ensure that you’ve done the Google search).
