UCF Factors Triggering Asthma and Allergies Case Study Short Topic Choice

Note: The first part of your final project will be due at the end of the next session (Session 4). This introductory activity that you will complete during this session is meant to help you start planning for the project. In addition to completing this activity, it is highly suggested you get started writing your final paper this week as well. in order to get started on writing your paper.

For your final project, you will be researching a case study. In addition to writing a paper on your chosen topic, you also will be presenting your research using a presentation medium of your choice.

This session, you should begin preparing for your final project. Use the attached final project instructions to select the topic you would like to research for your case study. After you select a case study that interests you, explore the following list of resources and choose a medium that you would like to use to present your final project. You are not bound to using that medium and can change your mind, but now is the time to become familiar with the medium that you select, including reviewing the tutorial.

• Make a video and share it online using YouTube or Vimeo. YouTube now offers online video editing tools.
• Create a blog: Google Blogger, WordPress, and Tumblr.
• Create a multimedia presentation with Prezi.
• Create an interactive online tour.
• Create your own website: Wix or Weebly.
• Share multimedia content in an online poster format.
• Make a PowerPoint presentation with a voice-over. (You may choose any voice-over tool, but Screencast-O-Matic is a great free option.)
• Make an animation with Powtoon or Video Scribe.
• Create an infographic using Piktochart.

You will post a short one-paragraph entry of 400 words or less explaining which case study you have selected and why, as well as which presentation medium you have selected to use and why you will be using that particular tool. Take the time to read your peers’ posts as well and comment on what they share, although commenting is not required. You will receive a grade only for your initial post.
