TSU Hardware & Software Evolution & Implications in 2020 Business Processes Essay

In this assignment the groups are required to develop a report on Implications of hardware and software technology on the businesses across the world. You will focus on the business processes, jobs, market environment, academics and society in general. You will review the evolution of hardware and software technology–system software and application software (refer to chapters 3 & 4 of the textbook). The time period of these technologies will be last 50 years. To simplify you can divide 50 years into 10 years each and see the development in the hardware and software technologies and their implications on areas listed above.

you will focus on the “business processes (such as procurement and inventory management, monitoring operations and performance at all management levels e.g. at present dashboards are becoming a common practice, in the retail business scanning technology changed the checkout process, copier/fax machines, automation and so on), , jobs, market environment (e.g. remote work has become common due to development in variety of hardware and software), academics (hardware/software development has enabled online delivery of education, textbooks, and other) and society (cite examples of hardware software that have enabled how people in society are organizing and conducting social activities)
