OVERVIEW
Empowerment and Social Capital theories are very useful in socialwork mainly because of their flexibility and applicability across allsystem levels. They are also a preferred approach because they areusually consistent with how we approach social work practice (i.e. usinga strengths perspective, serving as a broker or facilitator, etc.) ingeneral. To have strong social capital in one or more areas also meanswe are more empowered to actualize our best lives in other areas. Wewere presented with quite a bit of information this week so my goal hereis to get feedback from you about what you reviewed.
