Texas A & M University The Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster Case Study
Question Description
Ethics has five main models: Rule-Based Utilitarianism, Duty Ethics, Rights Ethics, Virtue Ethics, and the NCEES ethical code. These show that there are different ways of viewing ethical decision making. An important part of being a practicing engineer is forming the ability to make decisions based on your own analysis (with input and guidance from others, but ultimately without others telling you what is ethical or unethical). As a practicing engineer, you will be held responsible by the public and/or state for your own actions.
