A passive structural barrier is a physical barrier that remains for as long as the storm surge exceeds it and does not reduce height significantly (Liu et al., 2017).On the other hand, a structural barrier is a building or tower that will increase in height and height at an increased rate. Active structural barriers are barriers that have been developed to remove them. Passive structural barriers are barriers that have been developed for the intention of preventing access to them (Liu et al., 2017). One of the disadvantages of a medium-security facility is that it is considered a deterrent and cannot be made more secure. In such a situation, the most excellent approach is using a barrier that can effectively protect the entire facility. The security barriers used for medium-security facilities may have a lower degree of physical resistance to tampering. However, these barriers may not be self-closing or maybe more easily damaged by bolt breakage (Spaeth & Belle, 2019). The vulnerabilities may result from a relatively small number of passing through it or an open hole. The disadvantages of medium-security building, they want to have many windows and doors that can be closed to minimize exposure to external threats. The physical barrier can be achieved in a medium-security facility by introducing a metal gate placed at the security area entrance and has a high density. In this security area, access to security personnel is restricted. This security measure can be applied to all the security areas in the medium-security facility (Spaeth & Belle, 2019).
