  • What do you make of the comment by a senior leader that any reputational hit that Voser gets regarding the composition of the new executive committee is “pain worth the gain” because he is “getting the team he needs to move Shell where he wants”?
  • In most countries there are groups that are systemically excluded from opportunities (e.g., women in Saudi Arabia). What responsibility, if any, does a business leader have to provide opportunities to these groups? Do they have a responsibility if there are no hard facts that it improves the bottom line? Would the concept of ethnocentrism, be considered in your decision making?
