Long term Scenario: A family member of one of your residents reports to you that she witnessed her family member beingabused by two staff. The resident has significant dementia. The staff members in question have workedin the same wing of your facility over the past two years (always on the evening shift). Explain your nextsteps and address the issues as outlined in the assignment.

This scenario is based on a disruption-of-services within the health sector. Create a Plan of Correction which should include:

An immediate recovery plan

-Identify the immediate threat

-Outline steps to mitigate the immediate risk/threat

-Define who needs to be notified (e.g. managers, leaders, Board of Directors, law enforcement, regulating/oversight agencies and by when.

-Consider planning an investigation to understand the cause of the event (e.g. investigation, root cause methodology, etc.)

Develop a Plan of Correction for the long term

-Analyze the ethical implications – Assess the financial implications
