Halima Al Omani is a registered commercial law student of Modern College of Business and Science. In the Spring of 2020 holiday, she decided to spend her vacation in Nigeria because she was invited by the Nigeria Government to be part of the celebrities invited for the 60th year independence celebration. She is an excellent student toping her class and she is well known in the commercial law department as the best student; she is not only pretty but she contested and won Miss Middle East in 2018. She is a daughter to the former Minister of Defense and because of her popularity, she is being paid by many companies to do commercial advert for them. She is well known within the region and she enjoys her celebrity life. On personal note, she loves party, chocolates, ice cream and watching cartoons. At the airport, she was denied from traveling on the basis that her passport is less than six months before expiration. She claims that she is entitled to travel but the immigration department thinks otherwise. Using the FILAC method, raise ONE legal issue and address it.
Oman Immigration Law
Article 5 of the law states: For any Omani citizen to be eligible to travel outside the country, he or she must possess a valid passport with more than six months before its expiration date
Article 6 of the law states: notwithstanding the provision of Article 5, an exception should be created for important people in the country such as government officials, ministers, celebrities etc
Article 7 of the law states: payment of requisite fees is a requirement for the issuance of visas.
