I encourage that you work on problems in pairs or in groups. However, everyone will need to submit solutions IN THEIR OWN WORDS (i.e. copying explanations is not allowed). Copying solutions word for word will result of a 0 score on the ENTIRE assignment for all parties involved. In addition, if in the event you do work with anyone else on this assignment, please indicate their names somewhere at the beginning your submission.

A piece of advice: Keep the class notes handy. These questions were designed with our notes in mind. I don’t expect anyone to complete this assignment with at least cross referencing some of the material we covered in class.

Another piece of advice: Make sure your explanations are clear, concise, and to the point. Students quite often tell me that they can completely understand what’s going on in a problem but may not be able to explain it super clearly at first. That’s okay!! (and kind of the point) Part of the philosophy behind this class is to get you to clarify your thoughts in a manner that could be understood by everyone.
