I am pursuing a bachelors degree in Business & Healthcare Administration. How can Knowledge Management contribute to my career? knowledge is key! Knowledge management is the the “process of creating, sharing, using and managing the knowledge and information of a organization. The Multidisciplinary approach to achieve organisational objectives by making the best use of knowledge” Knowledge management will help my company informed and educated so my company can run smoother and more effectively. Data Information is essentially importation when it come to both my degree fields. Business Administration would use data information for spread sheets, gathering improvident documents, statistic, graphs and keep records, whether it be electronically or internally, same apply for Healthcare Administration. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/knowledge_management

Hi class,

I am pursuing my bachelor’s in business administration with interest in Human Resource. I currently am a manager of a Credit Union and we use knowledge management systems every day between our four offices. Much like the database article we read about; this allows us to help members regardless of the office they call or come in to. If a member called in with a situation recently and they call back, anyone can take the call and look up recent notes and history on the account for better customer service. This also allows all our back office to be organized and reachable for others, including auditors, or employee’s.

Since COVID has had an impact on so much this year, we had to improve our systems. We recently started doing everything, signature wise, through e-signing to help keep foot traffic to a minimum. This has made a huge improvement with our members, while still getting our loan flow as needed. Our members have been extremely appreciative of this system as well, with being able to help them out while doing it safely for their health. Knowledge management systems continue to help companies improve on a daily basis.
