Part 1 Prompts Talk about a time you learned a new word or phrase. How have you seen language – and semantics (meaning of words) change as you have gotten older? Do your parents understand what it means for something to “be lit” or for someone to “throw shade?” What other words/phrases does your generation use that may mean something different to older generations?
Part 2 Im always looking to up my street cred with my students, so teach me something new! Whats somephrases or words you think I have no idea what they mean. Walk me through how to properly use them.
