Grossmont Cuyamaca Community College District Stages of Social Experiments Discussion

-Stage 2 experimenting: Me and my best friend were in the experimenting stage, I remember

when I first met her at school we were discussing our common interests and asking

questions to each other like what’s your favorite food and how does she spend her free

time. It was a really fun time when we were discovering more about each other.

-Stage 3 Intensifying: with regard to this stage, when I started work, my relationship with my

co-workers was superficial, but after a while my relationship with them became less formal.

As communication between us increased we were able to share some of possessions and

also now we can go out and spend longer time together than before. Plus we created funny

nicknames for each other and many jokes and they became like family to me not only co-

workers.

-Stage 5 Bonding : this stage represents my relationship with my family, my family and I

always plan small holidays to spend time together, we always go out, have dinner and enjoy

all the weekend together since everyone of us is working and we rarely gather. In addition I

always like to help everybody in my family when they need to when they are in trouble. And

they also always support and encourage me when I have had a bad day.

-Stage 8 Stagnating: This stage applies to me and some of my childhood friends, although

we spent many good times together but because each of us lives in a different country now,

communication between us has decreased a lot and years have passed and we don’t know

any news about each other. Where there has been a stagnation in our relationship because

of distance, lack of communication and also because of concerns in life.

-Stage 9 Avoiding: This stage reminds me of how sometimes my sister uses my own stuff

that I don’t like anybody to toughing or using it, but I always avoid fighting with her because

I love her and she always letting me to use her stuff too.

-Stage 10 Terminating: When I was talking to my friends a group call I had to end the call

because when I was talking there was no one listening to what I was saying and they were

just talking to each other like I’m not there, so they made me feel like my words didn’t matter

to them.
