GCCCD Wk 4 Class Feeling Helpful & Enjoyable Parts Troubles & Feedback Letter

Question Description

This is the first of three Reflective Letters (Week 4, Week 8, and Week 17) that you will write throughout the semester. These Letters will give you a chance to let me know how you are doing in the class, ask questions about anything, and give your additional thoughts on your writing and reading progress.

On my end, I will use these reflections to gauge what we are doing now and to help you succeed moving forward. They are worth 25 pts. and should be between 500-1,000 words. Please be as specific as possible and try to use examples from your writings, readings and other assignments. As for the structure, you should try to organize it in a letter style (though it doesn’t have to be that formal). It should include multiple paragraphs and try to avoid using bullet points as well. Here is a sample (though this is more of a letter that you would write at the very end of the class, but it will still give you an idea of how to write a reflective piece).

Here are some questions that you can use to help you write your Letter:

  • Overall, how do you feel like you are doing so far? What is at least one new concept or lesson that you have learned?
  • What has been the most helpful part of the class so far?
  • What readings, activities, videos, and discussions have been the most enjoyable?
  • What are you having trouble with? Are you confused about anything so far?
  • Do you have any questions about anything?
  • What did you think about the first workshop? Did the critiques help you? How did you feel about giving feedback?
  • Looking towards the future, how will you continue to be successful or improve your performance? What can I do to help you be more successful? Is there something that you would like to see more or less of?
  • Any other thoughts?
