ENGL 120 GCCCD Language and Grammar Rhetorical Essay

Prompt: We’ve been discussing the three categories of rhetoric; this paper is meant to be an opportunity to show me you understand the basic ideas of rhetoric. Looking at the articles, make a claim about the rhetorical moves made by the authors and use quotes to demonstrate this. While you can contrast the two, you are not required to, nor are you required to provide a specific argument about the success of the authors. Rather, I’m looking for you to highlight the main rhetorical moves made by the author, illustrating your understanding of rhetoric and your ability to apply our discussions to your own writings. For example:

-X employs frequent pathos but doesn’t provide much logos.

-X’s provides logos and ethos throughout his article.

-X is better at presenting readers logos for his position than Y.
