Question Description
For this assignment, you will create an infographic on the three persuasive appeals: logos, pathos, and ethos.
Step One
First, you need to understand what a good infographic is. The following website gives a great overview of the characteristics of an effective infographic: Infographic Description (Links to an external site.)
Step Two
After reading that article, you should consider the content of your infographic. Your infographic should include the following:
- An original definition of each of the three persuasive appeals. You are expected to provide a definition that is in your own words.
- At least two examples of each appeal. Since you are creating an infographic, avoid written descriptions as examples. You should add visual representations of each persuasive appeal, such as commericals and advertisements.
Step Three
Next, you should choose the format for creating a free infographic. Below, I have supplied several resources and tutorials of how to create an infographic.

Step Four
Submit infographic to the assignment. If using Piktochart, click Download after completing your infographic and save as a .png file to upload to the assignment. Or, click Share and copy the URL for your infographic into the Website URL box.

Evaluation
The rubric for this assignment includes six dimensions:
- Content – The infographic includes all of the required information as outlined on the assignment sheet in an exceptional manner.
- Principles of Design – The infographic incorporates principles of design such as alignment, balance, consistency, contrast, directional flow, focus, proportion, white space, document layers, text effects, and color in an exceptional manner.
- Graphics – Graphic elements support and enhance the message in an exceptional manner.
- Presentation/Formatting – Infographic is formatted to enhance maximum readability and audience understanding. Consistency in formatting is clearly evident. Exceptional use of typeface, text effects, type size, and assigned color.
- Work Quality – Quality of infographic exceeds expectations.
Contains no keying or grammar errors. The infographic is clear, and concise. - Works Cited – Submitted a complete biographical list used in correct MLA format.
