Cuyamaca College Ocean Floor Biogenous Ooze Questions Discussion

There are two major types of biogenous oozes that form on the ocean floor, but we did explore them in depth in this module. Now, you are tasked with doing just that! We’ve, also, been looking at a lot of figures and images so far this semester. Figure/Graph interpretation is a key part of oceanography and its time for you to put your skills to practice!

1. Define and describe the two major types of biogenous ooze.
   • What organisms contribute to the ooze?
   • Where in the world are they found?
   • Are they shallow or deep, neritic or pelagic?
