Research the topic of the role of the individual states and the U.S. federal government in health care. Based on your research, prepare am essay supporting what you believe the role of government should be in the health care system. Include at least three major points in support of your position. The assignment is relatively simple in that all you have to do is learn what the federal and state governments do and then write an essay, on what you believe their role should be. You only have a few choices: maintain the way it is, increase its involvement, or decrease its involvement. Once you have selected your opinion, it needs to be supported; why do you have this opinion? One of the better ways to start this project is to do a Google search for “what is the role of the federal government in healthcare?” and “what is the role of the state government and healthcare?” These two simple searches should give you enough understanding of what their role is and help you form an opinion; additional inquiries may include “arguments against government involvement in healthcare.” The paper is to be 3 pages and must include a introductory paragraph and conclusion paragraph and three or more significant points in the body.
