How to research a case.

1. Go to Library Homepage.

2. Click on Data Bases

3. You will get a screen with the alphabet displayed horizontally.

4. Click on the letter W.

5. You will get a screen with a link to Westlaw. Click it.

6. You will get a screen requesting your Bronco Direct log in information. Enter it.

7. You will get a screen displaying links to cases, statutes, etc.

8. Click on cases.

9. You will get a browser which will always include federal cases.

10. Enter the case citation I announced in class. 476 U.S. 488. Click on search.

11. You will get the case I wish you to respond to for the assignment.

12. Under the official name of the case you will find a short synopsis of the case plus a section referred to as the syllabus. Review those sections and tell me what the case was about. A short summary is all I want. About 10 type written lines.

13. Below the syllabus the names of the lawyers who argued the case will be displayed. Tell me who they are.
