For this paper you will write a 3-4 page paper on the societal, economic, and environmental implications of Hybrid and Automated Vehicles. You should provide a broad overview of implications such as fuel economy, environmental impacts, safety, user acceptance, and legal implications and choose one are to focus in more depth, supporting your conclusions with research.

A potential outline of your paper will include:

• A broad overview of the implications of the technologies used in the EcoCAR program, such as hybrid vehicles, vehicle connectivity or automated driving, for public safety and welfare, the environment, access to mobility or other societal factors.
• Identify one specific issue to explore in depth. You should read and cite material from one or more external sources.
• You should conclude by discussing how your work assignment within the EcoCAR program relates to the issue that you explore in depth.
