Question Description
READING REFLECTION
Three (and some teams have up to to four) interdisciplinary students will read an (one)article together and perform a three-slide (<5 min) presentation in class, accompanied by a 1500-word essay composed of three parts. In both the paper and presentation, first you will share the main points of the reading. Try to help people imagine by using vivid persuasion (quotes, logic/reasoning and images) to illustrate the argument presented in the reading. The second part of your paper / presentation will be about connecting the notions in the reading to each of your lived experience. What about the reading connects to something of your lived experience? Perhaps it doesnt connect at all; why? The aim is to practice positionality, becoming aware of the social and political context that creates your identity in terms of class, gender, race and ability status. Finally, you are to draw out 3 lessons or recommendations (short bullet points) to share out. The recommendations may have emerged from the reading, or were inspired from the conversations in your group. These may influence or become part of the 50 strategies for a global future
