California State University Northridge Movements of the 1960s Discussion

I’m working on a Social Science writing question and need support to help me learn.

How have the protest cycles of the 1960s influenced the social movements of today? Why did the protest cycle decline? What are some of the current movements today that have survived beyond the sixties? Choose one of the movements and examine why you believe this movement speaks to you and how it has or has not been remained cyclical. Integrating Engler and Engler, chapter 5, explore how victories were (or may have been) framed in the protest cycle you choose. You can choose an example that Staggenborg detailed (CRM, Black Power, Anti-war) or choose another movement that was spawned in the 1960s (women’s movements, LGBT+). Think about instrumental versus symbolic framing of victories and use detail from Engler and Engler to support your suppositions.
