Over the course of the semester students will be asked to write reflectionpapers (one page double-spaced) on topics germane to the class. The goal ofthe reflection paper is for students to engage in a dialogue with the films andproduce thoughtful analysis on the readings. Short reflection papers shouldbe one page double-spaced.

The purpose of this assignment is to express your interpretation or thoughts on a text or film. This paper is mostly a summary of the text and historical context (although a good one). In the future, try to write about your ideas concerning the text/film, rather than explaining the history. Pretend that the reader already knows the information from the reading, and you are just talking about what makes it valuable to you.
