For this assignment, you will use what you have learned about standards for delivering quality service to determine how using a sales and service model improves sales results in a business or organization.

Instructions:

   1. Summarize the overall purpose of utilizing a service approach with customers.
   2. Define some typical service standards and service goals for a retail business.
   3. Explain the strengths that employees in a retail business should have in sales and service.
   4. Identify different types of skills that employees must demonstrate in order to keep customers engaged and help them make a buying decision.
   5. What obstacles must be overcome in order to use a service model approach with every customer who comes into a business?
   6. How does correctly staffing a business support service and sales goals?
   7. Identify two actions that retailers should take to drive service and sales, and describe the influence these actions would have on a customer’s purchase experience.
3. Write a four-page paper (minimum) that thoroughly addresses all of the areas included under Instruction #2. The minimum length does not include the title page, abstract, reference page, or any additional pages containing charts, appendices, etc. Cite a minimum of two outside sources used in your research. You must give appropriate credit to the sources of the material, both external and internal.

Format Instructions: Your paper must be double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font, with 1” margins on all sides. It must consist of a title page, abstract, body of the paper, and a reference page. A running header and page numbers must be included per APA style guidelines. Level I, Level II, and Level III headings must be used in the body of the paper. An appendix (or appendices) must be included after the reference page. The appendix/appendices should contain materials to support your answers to the questions posed in this paper. Since outside sources are required on this assignment, APA style in-text citations must be included in the body of the paper.
