The student should speak to the effectiveness of the group, the size and make-up of the group. When caring for an individual diagnosed with a mental illness communication is a core intervention in the persons plan of care. Therapeutic communication is a learned skill and therefore, an activity such as the process recording provides a means for improving this skill. Everyone responds non-therapeutically at times but through analysis, non-therapeutic responses can be identified and more therapeutic responses determined for improved future communication.Requirements: The student is to complete one process recording during their clinical rotation in this course. For each process recording the student is to record verbatim (word for word) a 5-10 minute active conversation with a client. For this learning tool to be most useful to the student for improvement in therapeutic communication it is important for the student to be honest in recording and evaluation of the conversation. Process recordings must be typed. . You are to have a facetime conversation with a classmate and with one student playing the role of the nurse and the other the role of the patient. The student in the role of the patient may
